Keep it in check
- Set a budget before you bet, and only bet money you can afford to lose.
- Set time and deposit limits. Licensed sportsbooks let you do this in your account settings.
- Don't chase losses. Bigger bets to win money back usually dig a deeper hole.
- Don't bet when you're upset, stressed or have been drinking.
- No model, tipster or "lock" guarantees a win, including ours.
Warning signs
- Betting more than you planned, or more often.
- Hiding bets or losses from people close to you.
- Borrowing money or missing bills to bet.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back.

Self-exclusion
Every licensed US sportsbook offers self-exclusion and cool-off periods, and most states run a self-exclusion program that covers all licensed operators. Check your state's gaming regulator.
Age and location
You must be 21 or older (the minimum age in most US states) and located where sports betting is legal to place a bet. oddsviz doesn't take bets and doesn't check age or location. Licensed sportsbooks do that.
